The Bass presents Art After Hours


On Thursday, February 20th from 6:30 – 8pm enjoy Art After Hours at The Bass, where guests will enjoy a creative happy hour. In this class, enjoy a glass of wine in the Creativity Center before exploring the galleries with an instructor-led drawing tour of the museum’s current exhibitions. Take a break after work and explore topics, techniques and themes in art through a series of monthly, art-making workshops. Led by teaching artists and designed for all skill levels, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned artist. Wine included (21+)! Register for this event here.

Museum exhibitions will be open until 9pm. For direct access to Art After Hours, please use the Creativity Center entrance at Park Avenue and 22nd St.

Overtime at The Bass


Enjoy Overtime at The Bass on Wednesday, July 31st from 6-9pm, presenting David Gryn, Director and Founder of Daata Editions, in conversation with curator Leilani Lynch on the challenges and opportunities of curating in the digital sphere. Featuring screenings of digital projects by artists Rosie McGinn, Anaïs Duplan, Elliot Dodd, Keren Cytter, Jeremy Couillard, Bob Bicknell-Knight, Eve Papamargariti and Scott Reeder, join us for a special announcement about The Bass’ latest project with art native to the digital realm. Experience a one-night-only of special programming and evening hours, plus a FREE welcome drink per guest (21+) with drinks and small bites available for purchase from The Café by Thierry Isambert.
