Outdoor Billboards, World's Largest Gator and Floating Tile Art, Oh My!

Featured artist: Lloyd Goradesky
Title: The World's Largest Art-Official Gator
Series: Floating Tile Art

This is the renowned "money shot" during Art Basel Miami Beach 2013 of the famous art piece Gator in the Bay floating in Miami's Biscayne Bay; rated as the top art attraction that year, made by internationally recognized artist Lloyd Goradesky. The World's Largest Alligator uses a hydrolic, self-propelled barge along with Goradesky's 104 Floating Art Tiles, which comprise the body of the gator and are connected by steel cables. This massive public art installation is the size of a football field, the Floating Art Tiles are huge photocollages made up of 1000's of tiny, thumbnail-size images of Goradesky's famed wildlife photography taken over 20+ years of his photography career.
